DeckLearn Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 4, 2026

DeckLearn does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data. Everything you create stays on your device.

The short version

DeckLearn is a flashcard app that runs entirely on your iPhone. It has no accounts, no servers, and no network connection of any kind. There is no data for us to collect, because nothing ever leaves your device.

Information DeckLearn collects

Nothing. DeckLearn collects no personal information, no usage analytics, no crash telemetry, no advertising identifiers, and no device identifiers.

What stays on your device

DeckLearn stores the following locally, using Apple's on-device SwiftData storage:

This information is readable only by DeckLearn on your device. It is never uploaded, shared, or backed up to us, because we operate no servers.

CSV files you import

When you import a deck, iOS asks you to pick a file. DeckLearn reads the contents of the file you choose, converts it into flashcards, and stores those cards on your device. It cannot see any other file on your device, and the file you pick is not copied anywhere else or transmitted.

Analytics and tracking

DeckLearn contains no third-party SDKs, no analytics frameworks, no advertising networks, and no tracking of any kind. The app does not use the Advertising Identifier and does not track you across apps or websites. No data is shared with anyone, because no data is collected.

Children

DeckLearn is safe for users of all ages. Because it collects no data whatsoever, it collects nothing from children either, and complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) by design.

Data retention and deletion

You can delete individual cards, reset a deck's progress, or delete an entire deck from within the app. Deleting DeckLearn from your iPhone permanently removes all of its data from your device.

Changes to this policy

If a future version of DeckLearn ever changes how it handles data, this policy will be updated before that version is released, and the date at the top will change.
